If energy available at the producer level in both the food chains is 10000 J, in which case will hawks get more energy and by how much? Justify your answer.

The hawks will get more energy in the second food chain.


This is mainly because this food chain consists of only three tropic levels.


This allows the hawks to feed directly on the mice which will give them 1J energy by the 10% law compared to the first chain in which they were getting only 0.11J.
