In this question , we have to arrange the fractions in descending order.
Descending means highest value to lowest value.
∴ we have to arrange the fractions from big to small value.
Here are the given fractions :-7/12, 6/11, 5/9, 7/13. see all denominators are different.
- For this reason we have to make all denominator same,
- only then can decide which number is big or small.
- Let us find out the LCM of 12, 11, 9, and 13.
LCM of 12, 11, 9, and 13. will be = 5148.
= ( 429 ×7) / 5148 =
=( 6 ×468)/ 5148 =
= =( 5 × 572) / 5148 =
= ( 7 ×396)/ 5148 =
Now all denominators are equal, we can arrange all fractions in descending order.
Hence the fractions are arranged in descending order7/12, 5/9,6/11, 7/13.
Ans :- The fractions are arranged in descending order7/12, 5/9,6/11, 7/13.
