Boys : Girls = 3:2

Number of Boys in the class = 3x,

Number of Girls in the class =2x.

Let consider average score of the girls =P

Now according the question  we can say that:-

Average score of boys + Average score of girls = Average score of class

⇒ (46 × 3x) + ( 2x ×P) = 42 × (  3 + 2 ) x

⇒x ( 138 + 2 P ) = x ( 42 ×5 )

⇒138 + 2P =42 ×5

⇒$138 + 2P = 210$

⇒$2P = 210 - 138 = 72$

⇒P = $\frac{72}{2}$ = 36.

Hence average score of girls will be 36.
