consider the given circuit and find the current flowing in the circuit and potential difference across the 15 ohm resistor when the circuit is closed potential difference is 30V. All the resistors in series and they are 5ohm,10ohm,and 15ohm.​

Step :1

First we calculate total resistor

a. Given all the resistor in series

Therefore ,

Total resistor = 5+10+15

= 30 ohm

By the ohm's law

Current= potential difference/ resistance

I= V/R

I= 30/30

I = 1 ampere

b. Curcuit current is 1 ampere all resistance in series thats why all resistance have same amount of current .

c . Potential drop btwn 15 ohm resistor = 15*1 ( by the ohm law)

= 15 volt
