Here the given function is f(x) = | x |

(a) The function is well defined for every real values of x

So Domain of f(x) = Set of all real numbers = R

Now clearly | x | ≥ 0 for every x ∈ R

So f(x) ≥ 0 for every x ∈ R

Range of f(x) = { f(x) : f(x) ≥ 0 for every x ∈ R }
