● Explaination -
We have the nuclear reaction-
222/86 Rn ---> 218/84 Po + x 4/2 He

In the reaction total protons and neutrons must remain constant.
LHS Protons = 86
RHS Protons = 84 + 2x

But we know,
LHS protons = RHS protons
86 = 84 + 2x
x = 1

Thus missing value must be +1.
