Consider the various sources of information related to the Earth's interior.classify the above as direct and indirect sources of information . Give reasons.

It is not possible to go to earth’s interior beyond 6370 km.

So to know more about the interior of the earth, one has to rely on direct and indirect sources.

Direct sources include molten magma from volcanic eruption, rocks obtained from mining areas ad information from different drilling projects done by scientists. Indirect sources include meteors that fall on earth, seismic activity, gravity and magnetic field.

Seismic waves include body waves and surface waves and these are recorded by seismograph.

Body waves are generated when energy is released at focus and when body waves interact with surface rocks cause surface waves.
