Inside the conductor E ( Electric field) is zero...
To understand this , firstly we should about the source of E...
Source of E is a charge particle...E = k q / r^2 ---(i)
where
q = Charge particle
k= coulombs constant
r = location where E can be experienced due to charge q
Here E depends on q as q is on the denominator...If q=0 i. e, there is no charge then Put q = 0 in (i) we E=0
...
If we give charge inside the conductor...Due to repulsive nature , charge distributed themselves in such a way that distance between each of them remain constant or same...
So charges repel and reaches the surface of the conductor.. and stay over there...They do not fly off in air...This is becuase the dilecteic strength of air is much greater...if charges of the conductor have much strength than dilecteic strength of air then charges even can move in air....But this is not possible in this situation...so charges remain on the surface...
So here all the charges are at surface...if we test the presence of charge inside the conductor , we use a device called electeoscope...
Electroscope do not show any deflection...but when we test the presence of charge on the surface , it shows up deflection....So Inside the conductor there is no charge...No cahrge means no Electric field inside the conductor as per relation (i)...
Hope this help.....
