We know that animals in a food web depend and interact with each other for their survival. If one specie is killed or died, it is going to effect the other specie that feed on it. Similarly, if insects are being killed or sprayed, there will be no food available for the rodents and other creatures that feed on insects. So if rodents dies due to scarcity of food, it is going to impact eagles, snakes and other carnivores and so goes the cycle.
