PROBABILITY

Explanation:

We know that two independent events

That is probability of occurrence of each events are not dependent

So  we have:

P(A=1) has no dependence on p(B=1)

And

P(B=1) has no dependenc eon P(A=1)

So ,

We know

P(A insersection B) is P(A) multiply P(B)

In the given question :

P(X=1) is  0.6

P(Y=0) is 0.4 that isP(Y=1) is 1=0.4 =0.6

P(Y=1) is 0.6

So P(X instersection Y)=P(X)*P(Y)

=0.6*0.6

=0.36 is the answer
