❇Scalar product means dot product

and that is

(2i+5k).(3j+4k)

=2i.3j+2i.4k+5k.3j+5k.4k

( as we i.i=1, j.j=1, k.k=1 and i.j=0, i.k=0, k.j=0)

= 20 ans

The dot product of the two above vectors is equal to 20.

Explanation:

Force, F_1=2i+5k

Force, F_2=3j+ 4k

Scalar product means dot product of vectors. It is given by :

F_1{\cdot} F_2=(2i+5k){\cdot} (3j+4k)

We know that,

i.i=j.j=k.k=1

and

i.j=0, i.k=0, k.j=0

So,

=(2i+5k){\cdot} (3j+4k)\\\\=(0+0+20)\\\\=20

So, the dot product of the two above vectors is equal to 20.
