Then cut off DZ at A with an arc of radius = 5.5 cm (altitude given). Draw the perpendicular bisector FEG of DA using arcs from D and A on both sides. Now with D as the center and DE as the radius draw a semicircle. Now with CE as the radius and E as the center, cut off the semicircle at H and I.

Answer:

(5.5)^2+x^2=(2x)^2

30.25+x^2=4x^2

30.25/3=x^2

10.08=x^2
