Steps of Construction:

1. Draw AB = 7 cm

2. Construct ∠BAP = 45 degree

3. From ray AP cut off line segment AD = BC + CA = 9 cm

4. Join B and D

5. Construct the perpendicular bisector of BD meeting AD at C i.e. draw arcs on both sides.

Of BD with the help of compass taking B and D as centers.

6. Join B and C.

Now, we get the required triangle ABC as shown in the figure.
