Correct Question :-

Construct a ∆ABC in which AB = 8 cm, BC = 5 cm and ∠B = 60°.

\:

\dashrightarrow Steps :-

  • First, draw a line segment AB of 8 cm.
  • Next, take a protractor and keep it's mid-point on the point B and draw a ray measuring 60°.
  • Then, take a compass and measure it as 5 cm and keep it's tip on the point B and draw an arc on the ray.
  • Now, join the point A to the point where the ray and the arc meets. Name it as point C.
  • Finally, the triangle is constructed.

\:

\dashrightarrow Instruments used :-

  • Ruler :- The ruler is used to draw the line segments of accurate measurements and the drawn lines should be correct and straight always.
  • Protractor :- The protractor is used to draw the rays of accurate measurements of degrees. It's also used to measure the angles given.
  • Compass :- The compass is used to draw the arcs on the ray drawn by taking the correct measurements given in the question.
