Given :   triangle ABC, where AB = BC = CA=6Cm

To Find : Construct a circumcircle for triangle ABC

Solution:

Step 1 : Draw a line segment AB = 6 cm

Step 2 : Using Compass taking width = 6 cm Draw intersecting arcs taking A & B as center at C

Step 3: join AC  & BC

To Draw circumcircle

Construct preopercular bisector of any two sides

Construct perpendicular bisector of AB :

Using suitable compass width draw arcs on both sides of AB taking A as center

Keeping compass width same and taking B as center draw arc such that in intersects arc drawn in previous step at M & N

Draw a a line passing through M & N

Similarly draw perpendicular  bisector of BC

Both perpendicular bisector meets at O

Using Compass width = OA = OB = OC , draw a circle
