Construct a kite ABCD in which AB = 4 cm, BC = 4.9 cm, AC = 7.2 cm.

given,

AB = 4 cm, BC = 4.9 cm, AC = 7.2 cm.

Steps for constructions:

  1. Draw a line segment AC with length 7.2 cm.
  2. Draw an arc with radius 4 cm from A to the both side of the line segment AC
  3. Similarly, draw another arc with radius 4.9 cm from C to the both side of the line segment AC
  4. Now, the intersection points are labelled as B and D respectively.
  5. Now join A to B and B to C . similarly A to D and D to C .
  6. ABCD is the required kite.
