Step By Step explanation.

  • First mark a centre O and make a circle of r = 3cm.

  • Then make any radius on it.

  • On the radius construct an angle of 120°

( using the angle sum prop. in the quadrilateral formed by the 2 radii and the 2 tangents; the angle at with radii are inclined and the angle at which tangents are inclined will be supplementary )

  • Extend the angle such that it meets the circumference of the circle .This will be our new radius

  • From both the Radii make ⊥ and extend these ⊥ rays.

  • These rays will intersect at Point P and this the point from which the 2 tangents are made.
