STEPS OF Construction:

1) draw line segment AB of length 6cm

2) construct angle A of 60° and extend the line Q

(see the figure)

3) construct angle B of 120° (consecutive angles of a Paralellogram are supplementary)

4) measure 4cm in your compass and cut 2 arcs on AD and BC respectively (opposite sides of a parallelogram are congruent)

5) mark points C and D on lines P and Q respectively

6) Join CD

7) Hence, ABCD is the required parallelogram.
