1. Draw a line segment AB=8.4cm.
2. Take the measurement more than half of the line in the compass and draw an arc on either sides of the line from point A.
3. Now draw two more arcs with the same radius cutting the previous arcs from point B.
4. Join the two points the two arcs meet on either side of the line.
