Construct a ∆PET, PE = 4.5 cm, ET = 5.4 cm and TP - 6.5 cm in your
notebook. Now construct ∆ ABC. AB=5.4 cm. BC =4.5 cm and CA-6.5 cm
on a piece of paper. Cut it out and place it on the figure you have cons
in your note book. Are the triangles congruent? Write your answer
mathematical notation.

constructed ∆PET &  ∆ABC     ∆PET ≅ ∆CBA

Step-by-step explanation:

Construct a ∆PET, PE = 4.5 cm, ET = 5.4 cm and TP - 6.5

Step 1 : Draw a line segment PE = 4.5 cm using ruler

Step 2 : Draw an arc using compass taking P as center & Radius = 6.5 cm

Step 3 : Draw an arc using compass taking E as center & Radius = 5.4 cm such that it intersect arc drawn in step 2 at T

Step 4: Join PT & ET

∆PET  is constructed

∆ ABC. AB=5.4 cm. BC =4.5 cm and CA-6.5 cm

Step 1 : Draw a line segment BC = 4.5 cm using ruler

Step 2 : Draw an arc using compass taking C as center & Radius = 6.5 cm

Step 3 : Draw an arc using compass taking B as center & Radius = 5.4 cm such that it intersect arc drawn in step 2 at A

Step 4: Join BA & CA

∆ABC is constructed

Yes the triangles congruent
