Construct a ∆PQR in which QR= 7cm, <Q=60 °

and PR-PQ =3cm.

STEP OF CONSTRUCTION:

  1. Draw QR = 7cm.
  2. Construct angle PQR = 60°.
  3. Produce XQ downwards to a point X'.
  4. Set off PM = 3cm along QX'.
  5. Join MR.
  6. Draw the perpendicular bisector of MR, meeting QX at P.
  7. Join PR

then, ∆ PQR is the required triangle.
