Steps of construction:

  1. take base as AB and draw a line of 4 cm.
  2. From A, take a measure of 60 degrees and draw a line of 3 cm. Name the un-labelled part/end of that line as D.
  3. Using trial and error method, try drawing the lines BC and CD.

Given : AB = 4cm, BC = 3.5 cm, CD = 4 cm, AD = 3 cm and

angle DAB=60°.

To Find :  Construct Quadrilateral

Solution:

Step 1  : Draw  a line segment  AB = 4 cm

Step 2 : Draw an angle of 60° at A on AB using protractor

Step 3 : Take a length of 3 cm from A on angle drawn and label it as D

Step 4 :   Using compass width = 3.5 cm and taking B as center draw arc

Step 5 : Using compass width = 4 cm and taking D as center draw an arc such that it intersect arc drawn in previous step at C

Step 6 : Join BC & CD
