Draw a line segment BC= 6cm.

Take a compass put the point on B and mark an arc of 4cm.

Put the point of compass on C and mark an arc of 8cm and name the intersecting point of arc B and C name as point A.

Again put the point of compass on C mark an arc of 5.5cm.

put the point of compass on A mark an arc of 5cm at D.
