Answer

Steps of construction are given below :

⇒ Draw line segment BC of length 4.5cm.

⇒ With C as a center and radius CD = 5cm draw an arc.

⇒ With B as a center and radius BD = 7cm draw an arc intersecting the previous arc at D.

⇒ Again with C as the center and 5.5cm as a radius draw an arc.

⇒ Then with D as the center and 5.5cm as radius, draw an arc intersecting the point at A.

⇒ Join AB, AD, CD, BD, and AC.

Thus, ABCD is a required quadrilateral.

Step V: With A as the centre and radius AD = 6.3 cm, draw an arc to intersect the arc drawn in Step IV at D.

The quadrilateral ABCD so obtained is the required quadrilateral.

Step VI: Join DA, BC, AC and CD.

Step IV: With C as the centre and radius

CD = 4 cm, draw an arc.

Step III: With A as the centre and radius AC = 9.4 cm, draw an arc to intersect the = arc drawn in Step II at C.

Step II: With B as the centre and radius BC = 5.5 cm, draw an arc.

Step I: Draw AB = 5.5 cm
