Consider BC & AD as a diagonal. Before constructing this figure,u have to draw one of the diagonal with the help of a Ruler. It will be easier to construct the whole figure. If u consider one of the diagonal as a base of a triangle,u will be able to construct the whole figure by dividing it into two triangles.

Step-by-step explanation:

Diagonal:- BC= 4.2 cm (Base of the triangle ABD)

AD= 5.5 cm (Base of the triangle ACD)

⇒  Draw a line segment AB=5.5cm

⇒  Take A as center with radius 4.4cm and draw an arc.

⇒  Take B as center with radius 7.1cm and draw an arc, which meet previous arc at point D

⇒  Take A as center with radius 6.5cm and draw an arc.

⇒  Take D as center with radius 6.5cm and draw an arc, which meet previous arc at point C

⇒  Join AD,BD,DC and BC

∴  ABCD is a required quadrilateral.

I hope it will help you.
