Given :  a quadrilateral ACER in which AC=7 cm, CE = 9 cm, AR = CR= 6 cm and AE = 12 cm.

To Find : Construct  quadrilateral ACER

Solution:

Step 1 : Draw a line segment AC = 7 cm

Step 2 : Using compass width = 9 cm and taking  C as center draw an arc

Step 3 : Using compass width = 12  cm and taking  A as center draw an arc such that it intersects arc drawn in previous step at E

Step 4 : Join CE

Step 5 : Using compass width = 6 cm and taking  C as center draw an arc

Step 6 : Using compass width = 6  cm and taking  A as center draw an arc such that it intersects arc drawn in previous step at R

Step 7 : join ER and AR

Quadrilateral ACER  is constructed
