Construct a quadrilateral PQRS, given that QR = 4.5 cm, PS = 5.5 cm, RS = 5 cm and the diagonal PR = 5.5 cm and diagonal SQ = 7 cm.​

Solution:

Step 1: Draw a line segment QR = 4.5 cm

Step 2: Using compass width = 7 cm and

taking Q as center draw an arc

Step 3: Using compass width = 5 cm and taking R as center draw an arc such that it intersect arc drawn in previous step at S

Step 4: join RS Step 5: Using compass width = 5.5 cm

and taking S as center draw an arc

Step 6: Using compass width = 5.5 cm and taking R as center draw an arc such that it intersect arc drawn in previous step at P

Step 7: join PQ and PS QUADRILATERAL PQRS is constructed
