Given : Diagonal of rectangle ABCD , BD = 4,6 cm we know diagonals of rectangle are equal to each other and bisect each other .

So, we follow these steps to construct our required rectangle ABCD :

Step 1 : Draw a line BD = 4.6 cm

Step 2 : Find mid point of BD , OB = OD = 2.3 cm

Step 3 : Now we take any radius ( Less than OD ) and center " O " draw an arc that intersect our line OD at " P " , With same radius and center " P " draw another arc that intersect our previous arc at " Q " .

Step 4 : Join OQ and extend it on both side of line BD we get line " XY " .

Step 5 : We take radius of 2.3 cm and center " O " draw arc on line XY on both side of line BD these arcs intersect line XY at A and C .

Step 6 : Join AB , BC , CD and DA we get required rectangle ABCD .
