Step-by-step explanation:

Firstly,draw base AB=5cm

Then use ur protractor to draw a 90° line perpendicular to ur base.

Measure 2.5 cm in ur compass and cut an arc on the 90° line, naming it BC or AC depending on which side u constructed the above.

Do the same to the other side.

Finally, join the breadths of the rectangle, naming the length CD.

Solution:

Main aim:

To make a rectangle of length 5 c.m. and breadth 2.5 c.m.

Materials Required:

  • Compass or Protractor
  • Scale
  • Pencil
  • Paper

Procedure:

  1. Firstly, Make a line segment of 5 centimeter that will be the bottom length of the Rectangle. (Attachment 1)
  2. Secondly, make 90° with compass. (Attachment 2). Alternate: You can also take the help the Protractor and make 90°.
  3. Thirdly, cut 2.5 c.m. which will be the breadth of the figure. (Attachment 3)
  4. From the point (where 2.5 c.m. is cut), cut 5.0 c.m by scale or compass. (Attachment 4)
  5. Then, from the point shown in the attachment, cut 2.5 c.m. (Attachment 5)
  6. Join them and hence name them as ABCD.

Therefore, ABCD is the required Rectangle.
