Given :- Construct a rectangle DROP in which DR = 6cm and diagonal DO = 7.4cm. ?

Solution :-

Steps of construction :-

• Draw a line segment RD of 6 cm .
• At point D, construct an right angle .
• Taking point D as centre cut an arc of 7.4 cm at point O .
• Join the line OR .
• Then from point O cut an arc of 6 cm at point P .
• Join OP and PD .
• Join diagonal DO of 7.4 cm .
• DROP is our required rectangle .
