. Take AB=5cm.

2. Draw AY⊥ AB

3. With A as centre and radius =3cm, describe an arc cutting AY at D

4. With D as centre and radius 5cm, describe an arc with B as centre and radius 3 cm, describe another arc intersecting the first arc at C.

5. Join BC and DC. ABCD is the required rectangle.
