Given,

Adjacent sides are 3cm and 5cm

So, 3 cm is breadth and 5 cm is length

Step 1: Draw 2 line segments of 5cm and 3 cm respectively at one edge of the page.

Step 2: With the help of a scale, draw a base of 5 cm named AB.

Step 3: On point B, with the help of a protractor, plot a point measuring 90° perpendicular to AB. (name the point as C.)

Step 4: Join BC measuring 3cm

Step 5: Proceed step 3 at point A. (Name the point which is perpendicular to A as D)

Step 6: Join AD measuring 3 cm.

Step 7: Join CD.

Now, ABCD is the required rectangle.
