side of the Rhombus is 6 cm and its perimeter is 24 cm.

considering the breadth of the rectangle as x, length will be 2x

hence, 2(x+2x)=24

so,6x=24

therefore, x=24/6=4

this indicates that the breadth of the rectangle is 4 cm and the length is 8 cm.

Answer:given l=2b for a rectangle

p(rectangle)=p(rhombus)

p(rhombus)=6×4

=24cm

from question,2l-b=0(eq 1)

p(rectangle)=2l+2b=24(eq 2)

from eq 1 and 2 we get:

2l- b=0

(-)2l+2b=24

_________

0-3b=-24

__________

b=8

l=16
