Step 1 : Draw a line segment AB = 5 cm

Step 2 : Draw  an angle of 120° at  B on AB using protector

Step 3 : Take a length of 5 cm from B & mark C

Step 4 : Now similarly draw angle 120° at C on BC & mark D , Then CD & mark E , Then DE & Mark F

Step 5 : join AF

ABCDEF Hexagon of side 5 cm is constructed

Line of symmetry:

Draw Straight lines passing through opposite vertex

AD , BE & CF using ruler and name them L1 , L2 , L3

Draw line passing though middle points of opposites side

(AB , DE )  , (BC , EF)  & (CD , AF)

To Draw these line

(AB , DE )

Using compass width slightly less than AB  draw arc on both sides of AB taking A as center

then keeping compass with same taking B as center draw arcs such thatit intersects arc drawn in previous step at P & Q

Draw line joining PQ  it intersect AB & DE  and name that L4

Similarly we can can draw L5 & L6 for (BC , EF)  & (CD , AF)
