Answer:

Rhombus: length of each side s = 6 cm, angle between 2 sides of 60° => 1 diagonal = 6 cm. Length of side s = hypotenuse of right- angled triangle = sqrt ( (d1/2)^2 + (d2/2)^2 ) where d1 and d2 are the 2 diagonals perpendicular to each other. 6 = sqrt((6/2)^2 + (d2/2)^2 ) => 36 = 3^2 + (d2/2)^2 => (d2/2)^2 = 36 - 9 = 27 => d2/2 = sqrt(27) => d2 = 2sqrt(27). Area of rhombus =(1/2)(6)(2sqrt(27)) = 6 sqrt(27) = 18 sqrt(3) cm^2.
