Step 2. draw 90° on q and then draw 45 degree on its right side. 90+45 degree gives 135 degree.

Step 3. Do the same on p. Draw 90 degree and then draw 45 degree on its right side.

Step 4. Measure 9 cm on your compass. place the compass needle on p and cut an arc on the line and then place the compass needle on q and then draw an arc on that line.

Step 5. Join both the arcs drawn in step 4.Name it according to the figure I sent.
