first of all draw a straight line having length of 10 cm and bisect it in the between and the other length of the diagonal i.e 12 cm just divide it by 2 and it's answer is 6 so make your compass of 6cm and cut the bisected i.e middle line from that compass and join all the lines and you will get your answer
