Answer:

To construct a parallelogram we need to first :-

  • (i) Draw AB = 5.5cm

  • (ii) With A as center and radius 6.5 cm,draw an arc.

  • (iii) Then taking B as center and radius 8cm draw another arc, cutting the previous arc at C.

  • (iv)Then join BC and AC.

  • (v) Taking A as center and radius 8cm, draw an arc.

  • (vi) With C as center and radius 5.5cm draw another arc that cut the previously drawn arc at D.

  • (vii) Join DA and DC.

  • (viii) Then ABCD is the required parallelogram.

Construction of rhombus given two diagonals - example

  • Draw line segment AC = 8 cm.

  • Draw the perpendicular bisector of AC.

  • With O as the centre and radius =3.1 cm, mark arcs on both the sides of AC to intersect its perpendicular bisector. ...

  • Join points A, D, points C, D, points C, B, and points B, A.
