To construct a parallelogram we need to first :-
- (i) Draw AB = 5.5cm
- (ii) With A as center and radius 6.5 cm,draw an arc.
- (iii) Then taking B as center and radius 8cm draw another arc, cutting the previous arc at C.
- (iv)Then join BC and AC.
- (v) Taking A as center and radius 8cm, draw an arc.
- (vi) With C as center and radius 5.5cm draw another arc that cut the previously drawn arc at D.
- (vii) Join DA and DC.
- (viii) Then ABCD is the required parallelogram.
