Construct a right angled A PQR such that the hypotenuse PQ = 8 cm and RQ = 5.5 cm.

Given :

In a right angled ∆ PQR such that the hypotenuse PQ = 8 cm and RQ = 5.5 cm.

Steps for construction :

1.Draw line segment RQ = 5.5 cm

2. From VERTEX R make an angle of 90° with the help of compass.

3. From VERTEX Q draw an Arc of radius 8 cm intersecting RX.

4. The Point of intersection is P

5. Join PQ.

∆PQR is the required triangle.

1.Draw line segment RQ = 5.5 cm with the help of scale.

2. From point R make an angle of 90° with the help of compass.

3. From point Q draw an Arc N of radius 8 cm .

4. The Point of intersection of M and N is P.

5. Join PQ.

6.By joining PQ and using bow compass we got required triangle.
