Construct a right angled triangle ABC with hypotenuse BC = 8 cm and AB = 6 cm.

Given :

In a right angled triangle ABC with hypotenuse BC = 8 cm and AB = 6 cm.

Steps for construction :

1.Draw line segment AB = 6 cm

2. From VERTEX A make an angle of 90° with the help of compass.

3. From VERTEX B draw an Arc of radius 6 cm intersecting AX.

4. The Point of intersection is C.

5. Join BC.

∆ABC is the required triangle.

Steps for construction of triangle ABC :

1.Draw line segment AB = 6 cm with the help of scale.

2. From point A make an angle of 90° with the help of compass.

3. From point B draw an Arc N of radius 8 cm .

4. The Point of intersection of M and N is C.

5. Join BC.

6.By joining BC and using bow compass we got required triangle.
