GIVEN :-

ABC is an right angled triangle

AC is the hypotenuse => Angle B = 90°

BC = 5 cm

AC = 13 cm

TO CONSTRUCT :- The Triangle ABC

CONSTRUCTION :-

First of all we will find the other side by applying pythagoras Theorem.

 {hypotenuse}^{2}  =  {base}^{2} +  {perpendicular \: square}^{2}   \\  \\   \implies  {13}^{2}  =  {5}^{2}  +  {p}^{2}  \\  \\  \implies  {p}^{2}  =  {13}^{2}  -  {5}^{2}  \\  \\  \implies p =  \sqrt{169 - 25}  \\  \\  \implies  \boxed{p = 12cm}

Now, Steps of construction :-

1. Draw base BC of 5cm using ruler and pencil.

2. Construct 90° on point B using protactor.

3.Point A such that AB = 12cm.

4. Join AC.

5. Traingle ABC is constructed .

6. Check that AC= 13cm by scale practically.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi

Hypotenuse=13,length of side=5

By bodhayan theorem

p=√sq of h - sq of b

√ sq of 13-sq of 5

√169-25

√144

12cm
