Answer:

Metals are essential components of a living organism's life cycle. These metals are classified as essential and nonessential based on their use. Metals such as magnesium, nickel, sodium, copper, cobalt, chromium, iron, manganese, potassium, and zinc, are essential metals that act as micronutrients and are used for (1) electrostatic interactions to stabilize molecules, (2) redox reactions, (3) osmotic pressure controls, and (4) which act as cofactors and components of different enzymes (Bruins et al., 2000). Other nonessential metals include silver, gold, lead, mercury, and cadmium which have no biological function and may be harmful to organisms. Nonessential metals frequently displace essential metals from the native binding site or are associated with toxic ligands (Nies, 1999; Bruins et al., 2000), such as Cd2  +, Ag2  +, and Hg2  +, which bind specific protein groups to SH and thus inhibit the action of the enzyme (Nies, 1999). The structural similarity of oxyanions is similar to that of phosphate-like arsenate and sulfate-like chromate. Some of the divalent metal cations have structural similarities, such as Fe2  +, Mn2  +, Ni2  +, Co2  +, Zn2  +, and Cu2  +. Both essential and nonessential metals cause damage such as disruption of the cell membrane, cell function disturbance, alteration of the enzyme specificity, high concentration structural DNA damage (Bruins et al., 2000). Thus, organisms tightly regulate this cycle of ion absorption in order to distinguish between structurally similar metal ions.

I hope this much Para is enough for the stages in a lifecycycle of organism and how it is important to maintain a balance nature
