1) Draw a line segment = 4cm. Name it A B

2) Construct a 90 degree angle at A and in B also.

3) Extend the angles.

4) With radius 4cm, take A as centre and draw an arc which cuts an extended angle at D

Similarly, do this by taking B as centre and cut it at C.

5) Join C and D.

Thus, ABCD is the required square.
