Construct a square ABCD with the diagonal AC =5cm. Also write the steps of
construction.​

Answer:

⇒ We know that all the sides of square are equal.

⇒ All four angles are 90

⇒ And both the diagonals of square are equal and perpendiculary bisect each other.

⇒ By using all these properties we will construct a square.

⇒ We have given diagonal of square 5cm.

⇒ Draw a line segment AC=5cm.

⇒ Draw a perpendicular line through mid-point of AC.

⇒ Cut off OB=2.5cm and OD=2.5cm.

⇒ Join AB,BC,CD and AD.

⇒ Measure sides of square which is AB,BC,CD and AD.

⇒ l(AB)=l(BC)=l(CD)=l(AD)=3.5cm
