We know that in square all sides are equal. Diagonal are also equal and perpendicularly bisects each other.

=)Draw a line segment AC = 9.8

=)Draw a perpendicular bisector XY meets AC at point O.

=)Take O as center with radius 4.9cm and cut out off OD and OB.

=)join AB,BC,CD and AD.

: ABCD is a requied square.

Now measure the length of AB .

We get AB=6.9cm

Measure of sides is 6.9cm.
