Once there was a slave. He had a cruel master. He used to treat him badly. He used to beat him and starve him. He was so much fed up that he ran away. He went to a forest. There he saw a lion crying with pain. The slave saw that there was a thorn in the lion paw. He removed the thorn. The lion was relieved of his pain

After a few days, the slave was caught by the king’s men he was ordered to put before the hungry lion. People came to see this act of cruelity.

On the fixed day the slave was put in a big cage and hungry lion was let loose. The lion came roaring towards him. Luckily it was the same lion, it recongnised him it licked the slave’s feet. All the spectators were surprised. The slave told them the whole story and the master set him free.

Moral: kindness pays.

Answer:

                                               Androcles and the Lion

A slave named Androcles was ill treated by his master. He could not bear this treatment thus ran away and finally found a cave to get shelter. He was frightened by a roar of a lion. He saw that it had a thorn in his foot. He took it out and the lion got relieved. He ran out of the cave.

After some days, he was caught and sentenced to be put in front of a hungry and angry lion. It was made a public show. On that day, when the lion was released, it realized that it was the same person who gave him relieved from the thorn and started licking his hands and didn't harm him.

Moral: You will get a good return for a good deed.
