words: 150
An old farmer had four sons. They always quarrelled (fell out) with one another. There was no peace in the family. The farmer was unhappy. At last he hit upon a plan. (At last he thought of a plan).
One day, he sent for his for his sons. (One day, he called all his sons). He gave them a bundle of sticks to breaks. All of them tried but none could break the bundle. He then untied the bundle and gave each of them a single stick to break. Each of them broke his stick very easily. Then the old man said, “My dear sons, you could not break the bundle of sticks because the sticks were together. If you are united, none can harm you. Divided you are easy to fall.” The sons learn a good lesson. Then they lived together in peace and harmony.
Moral: Unity is strength.
