Given :  circle of radius 4cm

To Find : Construct a tangent at any point P on its circumference

Solution:

Step 1 : take a point O

Step 2 : Using compass width = 4cm and taking O as center draw a circle

Step 3 : Mark a point  P on boundary of circle

Step 4 : Join OP

Step 5 :  Draw a right angle at P  on OP  using protractor / set square

Step 6 : mark a point Q on drawn angle

Step 7 : join OQ

PQ is the required tangent
