Height (distance between parallel line)

if We draw perpendicular from shorter side on Longer side

we will form one ractangle 4 * 4

an two triangles with height h & sides x & 2-x

tan 70 = h/x     =>  h = xtan70

tan 30 = h/(2-x) => h =(2-x)tan30

equating this

xtan70 = (2-x)tan30

=> x(tan 70 + tan 30) = 2tan30

=> x = 2tan30/(tan 70 + tan 30)

so

using value of h we can draw a perpendicular from 6 cm line with an height of 4 cm
