Given :

• AB||DC
• AB = 8cm
• BC = 4cm
• CD = 3.5cm
• DA = 4.2cm

To do :

• Construction of a trapezium ABCD from the given measures.

Solution:

Step of construction :

1. Draw a line of 8cm as AB, and cut off AX = 4.5cm
2. Construct the ∆AXD such that XD = 4cm and AD = 4.2cm
3. Consider B as center and radius equal to 4cm, draw the arc as C
4. Consider D as center as taking radius of 3.5cm, draw am arc which cut at C
5. Join BC and DC.

Then, ABCD is required trapezium.
